Paul Murphy Services Inc. is a company that was started by Paul Murphy in 1988 to repair and restore rusted automobiles. Because of the large amount of salt used on the roads in Newfoundland cars tend to rust very quickly and become a safety hazard. Rust repair will generally involve the replacement of an automobile's floor and/or chassis. Our welding facility is considered by the Provincial Government as an on the job training facility and is overseen by our Manager, Francis Hearn. Newfoundland usually receives snow from the end of October to the end of March so in 1989 a selected snowplow line was added to the Paul Murphy Services Inc. offering. The selected snowplow brand was Sno-Way, a company that produces a line of snowplows that lead the world in snow removal technology. At this time Paul Murphy Services Inc. is Sno-Way's oldest distributor in Canada and is one of its most successful! Other snowplow lines represented include Meyer/Diamond snowplows and truck salters, Meyer is the oldest snow removal equipment manufacturer in the world, Arctic, which is the only manufacturer of snowplows in Canada. Products that go hand in hand are Buddy Ramps, a folding tailgate for pick-up trucks, Kleen Wheels, shields for aluminium wheels and Sweep Ex, truck mounted brooms for cleaning parking lots.

	Our shop provides many services such as; auto-welding, rust repairs, fabrications and repairs, as well as parts and services for all makes of snowplows. Fabrications that we have completed in the past include such items as trailors, car carriers, car ramps for automotive dealerships, interior van shelving, magazine holders, specialty sign applications, and we are always interested in any fabrication project that you may like completed. We ship products all over Newfoundland and Labrador as well as the entire Atlantic Canada region. The main shop is located at 14 Hallett Cresent in the city of St. John's and it features 5 services bays as well as a large parts department.
